This article mistakenly does not include Gautam Buddha as the 9th incarnation of God. Balram is substituted for Buddha in few versions as few people want to keep Buddha and Buddhism out of true religion. Though it is true that Buddhism as it stands today is a highly corrupt philosophy and does not constitute a religion or path to God (it must be noted that it is a man corrupted version of what Buddha taught, Buddhism being rejected by all in India - the very land of Buddha after Adi Shankaracharya proved it's falsity around 700 AD as part of "Shankaracharya Digvijay" leaving it relegated to few pockets outside India followed by lost souls) Buddha is different from Buddhism and was in fact the 9th incarnation of God - Lord Vishnu who only taught a specific path to God or Spiritual Enlightenment that was the need of that age upheld by Hinduism and practised by many yogis from the beginning of time. Vipassana meditation (pure form as taught by Gautam Buddha to attain spiritual enlightenment only available by the S N Goenka organization today at www.dhamma.org) was a spiritual technique discovered by Gautam Buddha, however it was first given to the world at the beginning of time by none other than Lord Shiva Himself.
